A welcome from the Chair of Governors

Welcome to Good Shepherd Catholic Primary & Nursery School and thank you for visiting our website.

Good Shepherd is a very happy school which provides a warm and secure environment for children to work hard, learn and achieve. We meet high attendance targets and our curriculum is wide and varied. After school our children take part in a wide range of school clubs from cookery to sports to Lego.

Our school results are impressive; our pupils’ achievements are high. Our last Ofsted report (2024) judged us to be ‘good’ in every area and ‘outstanding” for children’s personal development. They said that pupils were ‘extremely happy in school. They are confident, friendly and kind.’

We are fortunate to occupy a very large site with several play areas and extensive green fields.  An intensive programme of investment has upgraded our buildings, accessibility, and security. Our pupils, staff, and governors are all very proud of our school and our ethos.

If you are considering our school for your children, please come and visit us; then you can see first-hand the excellence of our offering in primary education. Every day is an open day so there is no need to make an appointment.

Kind regards

Mrs C Kellas
