OFSTED Report

I am delighted to share with you our most recent Ofsted inspection report from our graded inspection on 28th February and 5th March 2024. Following a thorough two-day inspection, Ofsted confirmed that Good Shepherd is a Good school.

We were graded outstanding for Personal Development and good under the categories of Quality of Education, Behaviour and attitudes, Leadership and Management and Early Years provision.

Inspectors praised how polite and welcoming the children were to everyone and noted that pupils behaved well in lessons and in the playground. They were very impressed with the caring and inclusive culture within Good Shepherd. The inspectors spoke of an extremely well-designed personal development curriculum and found children to be highly articulate in discussing a range of topics.

Inspectors commented on the strong subject knowledge of our teaching staff and clear delivery in lessons. They were impressed with the extremely broad range of wider opportunities offered at school and of the very high quality of these.

The inspection showed that pupils are extremely happy at Good Shepherd and are known very well by staff. Pupils are able to learn in a safe environment and are particularly well looked after at the school.

I would like to thank all staff at Good Shepherd for their hard work and commitment in supporting all children at the school.
